Harry Beck
In 1931 Harry Beck stripped London of it's details, leaving a clear and comprehensible underground map for visitors to the capital. An electrical draughtsman, Beck realised that travellers weren't bothered about geographic accuracy, but were interested in how to get from one station to another.
